DECIDE AND VVSA STRENGTHEN HUMAN RIGHTS PROTECTION IN CABO DELGADO

The DECIDE Platform, in partnership with VVSA and with funding from the Open Society Foundations, began providing psychosocial support in August to communities displaced and affected by the conflict in Cabo Delgado.

The two-year initiative is part of DECIDE’s Human Rights Protection program and includes activities focused on psychosocial support, community resilience, advocacy, research, and reconstruction.

As part of this effort, DECIDE’s Executive Director visited Ancuabe, Metuge, and Quissanga—including the village of Napuda, where the population of Natugo 1 has been sheltered following an attack in which 16 people were abducted—to closely monitor the needs and developments of the situation.
